Stargate: The Last Stand Community/Mod Update - Summer 2010
1) We are proud to announce that two new maps versions have been released with multiple fixes and new additions to them based on input from our clan members. The new versions of the maps are in the server rotation so spend some time on it and check out the new updates!
2) Valve still hasn't fixed a bug with the gaming platform which was announced ten months ago. This bug will go unnamed for obvious reasons but basically it enables anyone who knows about it to crash the server with very little effort. Thanks A Lot Valve!
3) Server activity is increased over the last few months. We are averaging anywhere to ten to twenty new players every day! For the latest information in regards to our server check out it's stats page here (http://aeclan.hlxce.org/hlstats.php?game=sgtls).
4) There is finally another US based server located on the East coast! Please try and visit it from time to time so our clans name is known on that server.
5) For over a year 417 now has been busy serving as a moderator of the IW Stargate: The Last Stand forums in an attempt to help the community. Activity on the SGTLS forums is very slow so if you play SGTL and haven't done so already please log on to their forums (http://forums.interwavestudios.com/forum/17-stargate-the-last-stand/), setup an new forum account and check/post on the SGTLS forum boards.
5) Our SGTLS downloads section has been referred to as "the number one resource for SGTLS files"! Second to ours is the official IW SGTLS downloads section which 417 also maintains.
6) Our server was renewed for another six month several months ago. As always if you enjoy playing on the server and can contribute towards it costs please donate a few dollars towards it's costs here (http://www.gameservers.com/clanpay/?clanid=1ae7681dac88be06a41d4125ea44d9d9).
7) 417 due to inactivity in SGTLS has started helping in the development of the next HL2 Source Stargate based mod. He was selected as a beta tester (the first in US) for the mod: Stargate: Mod (AKA SGM). Please visit the SGM forums, create a forum account and join in the discussions on the SGM web site here (http://www.sgmod.de). As the progression of the mod continues we plan on embracing this new mod in addition to SGTLS. Please visit the SGM web site today!
8) The SGTL division is proud to announce it's latest new member 3721. [AE] 3721 is a devoted SG fan and deserves special mention as he is longing numerous hours making maps for the mod. To see what 2721 is working on currently visit his web site at: http://3721.asseater.org
