Stargate: The Last Stand Community/Mod Update - October 2009
1) We are closely watching several new objective style maps currently being developed & providing input for them and we also are working with several beta version maps makers whose maps are currently in our servers rotation for major updates to them as well.
2) Valve still hasn't fixed a bug with the gaming platform which was announced three months ago. This bug will go unnamed for obvious reasons but basically it enables anyone who knows about it to crash the server with very little effort. Thanks Valve!
3) Server activity is still on the decline due to most of our server regular being to busy to play lately and a surge of new servers coming online in other countries (about time we see the server list increase!). Please try and remember to come play on our designated playing night if you can which are Monday & Thursday evenings to try and help stimulate more server activity during the week days.
4) I have been busy serving as a moderater of the IW Stargate: The Last Stand forums in an attempt to help the community. If you play SGTL and haven't already please log on to their forums (http://forums.interwavestudios.com/), setup an new forum account and check/post on the SGTLS forum boards.
5) Our SGTLS downloads section has been referred to as "the number one resource for SGTLS files"! I have stepped up to the plate for the mod and now maintain the official map/downloads thread on the IW SGTLS forums along with moderating the official "Stargate: The Last Stand" IW downloads section.
6) Our server came up for renewal last month (six month subscription). If you happen to have a few extra buck and enjoy playing on our server please help out by contributing to it's costs by making a one time donation here (http://www.gameservers.com/clanpay/?clanid=1ae7681dac88be06a41d4125ea44d9d9).
7) In approx. a month the server will be worked on to update it's numerous plug-ins and admin platform. During that time the in game administrative features may or may not work as normal.
