For the month of June in regards to the SGTLS division I have the following information:
1) Our alliance with the [SG-X] clan is still going strong. They are setting up their web site and forums this month (visit our Alliance information page for the links). [SG-X] has requested that we setup occasional scrimmages with them when possible, if we can get enough of our members on at the same time to conduct them.
2) A new bug with the mod was discovered this month which a fix was released by the devs for the servers that are using sourcemod. The fix was applied to our server the day it was released and appears to have help cut down on some of the server crashes.
3) Our SGTLS junior member has started his one clan called [b]MAD. He has already recruited a small handful of members and will be playing informal scrimmages with us and [SG-X] to help build his clans skill levels. Best of luck Batman with your new clan!
4) There are several new maps being worked on by SGTLS community members. One of them is currently in the servers rotation for play testing and review.
5) I have been busy modifying other mods maps to run on our server for death match style type play. The result has been an increased amount of players on our server and players specifically requesting the maps!
As time allows and if I can continue to find maps that fit the SGTLS theme I will continue to modify maps and put them on the server. If you know of any custom maps made from other source mods that you think you would be fun to play in SGTLS send me a private message with their name and download info for me to check out!
6) The servers rotation has been setup to alternate death match maps with original objective style maps with the death match style maps being limited to one round (it was formally two). This rotation change has proven to be liked and will continue to be implemented until such a time that we have enough objective style maps to run them exclusively in our rotation.
7) The SGTLS mod in general seems to be picking up somewhat which is great news. Our servers usage also continues to be on the rise as well!
That's it for the latest and greatest in regards to the SGTLS mod. Stay tuned for more events/information to be posted as more happens...
